  • Three enchanting villages

Ibiza offers the traveller idyllic spots and rural landscape. Charming small towns located inland, which have white, sober and simple whitewashed architecture. The Ibizan houses have a straight structure and thick walls, which make them able to maintain a cool temperature in summer and warm in winter, and in some cases the walls are bare stone showing directly.

Also, the ceilings are made of wooden beams, arches on the porches and colourful doors and windows. Picturesque villages surrounded by a field full of red and green, almond blossom and a sweet smell of lavender, where time passes slowly and everything revolves in the same space, the square and next to it, the church and the houses that surround it. Where the atmosphere is calm, quiet and people live together in perfect harmony with the environment. Moreover, in these rural communities you can find tasty restaurants and bars located in traditional houses and shops of all types.

    Three enchanting rural communities.

    Sant Agustí des Vedrà
This is a small town, located halfway between Sant Josep and Sant Antoni. This town is inside a beautiful pedestrian square, the church with an imposing white facade and a set of traditional buildings with one hosting an intimate restaurant with a nice terrace, Can Berri Vell. Beside it, the civic centre, Can Curt noted for a stone tower located in the back and front of the church, Can Berri, a curious bar with a quiet garden.

    Sant Llorenç de Balàfia
A quiet rural enclave located north of the island, near the village of Sant Joan de Labritja. As in other villages, in the centre is the church that features a covered patio with an entry with a single arch, beside it there is a small bar and a bohemian restaurant, La Paloma. In the old environment lies the Balàfia settlement, a fortified settlement that comprises five typical houses and two towers, and also the Amunts Interpretation Centre .

    Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera
The town is located in the inland at a crossroads linking the towns of Sant Miquel, Sant Llorenç and Sant Mateu. In centre, the main pedestrian area, is dominated by the XVIIIth century church and many of the houses have been converted into restaurants and bars and terraces and you will also find fashion and decor shops, and art galleries.
