Today we are showing you a nice walking route. A route between San Antonio and Punta Galera. The path borders the coast and you can enjoy beautiful sea views while walking along the nice path. You will find areas with more atmosphere and other ones more peaceful. A bit of everything. Interesting hike.
The route starts from San Antonio’s city hall direction to Ses Variades, following the promenade leaving the port to your left. Right away, you’ll be able to enjoy some fantastic views and sunsets of San Antonio Bay and the Conejera island, and you’ll pass by Café del Mar, Mambo, etc. At the end of the promenade you’ll get to Caló des Moro beach. Then follow the path parallel to the sea, which will be at your left until you get to Aquarium Cap Blanc, known as well as Cova de ses Llagostes (the Lobsters Cave), pass behind it and again take the path parallel to the coast. You will get to Cala Gració beach, go through it and go up the little stairs at the end of the beach, stay on the path next to the sea and you’ll get to Cala Gracioneta beach, which you’ll also pass through it until you get to the fisherman’s huts, where it looks like the path ends, but it’s no so. You have to go up some stairs carved on the rock and follow the track along the coast (always leaving the sea to your left). Keep on until you find another track that crosses, take it in the upper direction and it will lead you to a road, you’ll pass La Torre Hostal. Leaving to your left the inn’s terrace, you can see right in front of you some impressive views of Cap Nonó, Sa Foradada and Cala Salada.
Keep following the track parallel to the cliffs and you will reach Punta Galera. You’ll see a wall where it says “Camí a Cala Galera”, and some stairs from where you can go down to some fishermen’s huts, pass by them and now you’re at Punta Galera. Stone platforms where you can enjoy this special atmosphere which is chosen by artists, hippies, nudists and bohemian lovers.
Remember wearing comfortable footwear and bringing cold drinks with you. Enjoy!
